I pushed a bit last night and hit 10,000 words, which is actually the target for the end of today. A little bit of buffer is nice to have.
The first 10,000 words will probably need heavy editing (after Nov 30th) since it was sort of exploratory, and I had no idea what was going on until about 6-7000 words in.
And now I must finish the scene I started yesterday, in which I threw my protagonist into a situation that is way out of his comfort zone. He's starting to relax; I must make him miserable again.
