Balcony bees

I have been sadly unsuccessful in getting a photo of the bees flying in and out of the planter pot. Lots of crisp closeups of the contents of the pot however, with a little bee-sized blur in the frame.

I do, however, have a few photos of bees which may or may not be "my" bees.

A little while ago, a bee blundered through our living room window, and was wandering around the glass trying to find her way out again. The cat found her, but my other half was able to rescue her and put her outside.

Today, I found a very sluggish bee sitting on a bag I had left outside. She didn't do much more than wiggle her antennae when I rustled the bag under her, so I mixed up some sugar water and fed her. A tired antenna twitch, a difficult couple of steps to turn around, and the tiny tiny tongue came out and started licking up the sugar water I offered.

So, this is the bee, from the back and from the side. Anybody have any idea what kind of bee that is? (Note: as I said, I don't know if these are the bees who moved into my planter pot, but they're around.)
