Why do you ignore that part of the page? Ads on other sites?

And wikis are very handy things - I just get turned off by the attitude some wiki people have. That's why I chose a wiki program with access control; I wanted a wiki for the cross-referencing, not for the everybody-and-their-dog-can-write aspect.

I think it's specific to that block (3.00/0) (#6)

on Scoop sites. Ever since I stopped really paying attention to the K5 queue, I only go there for the links I want to use, and on this site I'm not often using those functions.

Something weird I noticed when I turned on the Queue digest -- I seem to be a cloaked user now, even though I have "Hide myself in Who's online" unchecked. I tried changing my prefs to be cloaked and then uncloaked, but it didn't seem to make a difference. I dunno, maybe it's just me or I'm missing something.

I don't really use the cross-referencing ability of the wiki (even though I could probably benefit from it) ... it's mostly a place to keep notes that I can access and edit, even when I'm not in front of the computer I do most of my writing on.

I subscribed to the queue digest, but now that I've logged on for the first time in a bit (sometimes I hit the page but if I've been auto-logged out by Scoop I don't log in unless I have something to post), I see there's a new story in the queue, and I don't remember getting an email.

This may or may not be the place to bring it up, but are there any plans for a "post to diary instead" vote option for the submission queue? I've seen a couple stories that were submitted to the queue that would make great diaries, but not good front page stories. Of course it would be up to the author whether they wanted to post it as a diary, but it'd be nice to have an option to reject a story for FP without dropping it entirely. Maybe a check box when submitting to the queue, that the author can choose if they're ok with it being sent to the diary page instead?

very slow answer, sorry about that.

Turns out when Write On! moved servers, the cron (scheduler) wasn't set up properly. None of the scheduled stuff, like story digests or RDF updates, had been run since September.

Oops. It's fixed now.
